Sailing Boat 'Kafeoli'

Sail along the coast of Sal with the opportunity to swim.  A whole day on board a sailing boat or just a half-day sailing trip along this island’s southwest coastline is a fantastic experience. Leaving from the pier in Santa Maria (or the port in Palmeira depending on day of excursion), you sail along the northwest side coast. This gives you the chance to see the oasis of Fontona, the Lion Mountain and much more until you reach the beautiful bay of Murdeira. A swim or even fishing or snorkelling with a delicious grilled fish on board for lunch is a perfect way to spend part of your holiday!

Maximum 14 persons.

Fun Quad / Buggie

If you have ever thought of driving across white sand beaches, here you have it! Drive along all the natural beauties hidden on this island by fun-quad, on a 2.5 hour trip including the old Santa Maria salt flag, the turtle’s cemetery, Shark Bay’s beach, the oasis from Baia do Algodoeiro and the fantastic beach of Ponta Preta – and that’s just half of what you will see! Morning or afternoon sessions available.
 
Price guide: €65 per quad with two passengers (No discount for children – price is for the quad)

Catamaran Trips

A four hour trip starting from the fishing port at Palmeira including soft drinks & local beer plus snacks. The catamaran sails to the Fontana then stops giving you a chance to swim, snorkel or even fish. On the way back you can dance with the crew to the sounds of ‘Funana’ the music which is local to Cape Verde. On the family cruise, the crew dress as Pirates and keep the children entertained with drawing, painting, face painting & a mini disco as well as chance to swim & snorkel.

Fishing

There is a variety of fishing trips available, normally around 4 hours either in the morning or afternoon.

Neptunus

A 1 hour excursion where you are taken to two different wrecks, the Portuguese steam ship "Bolana" and the ship "Santo Antao". You will embark on the Neptunus via a rib and have to make your way to the beach. Leaving from Santa Maria Pier daily at 11.30am.
