Excurions around the Island

Prices are indications only.  The exact price will be advised at time of booking whilst in resort.

Please note that some excursions require a minimum number of people to take place.

Full Day Island : Sugar Cane, Trapiche, Jews and Cliffs

The first part of this tour takes you to the volcanic crater at Cova, where you then make the descent on foot to Vale do Paúl, Janela and Vila das Pombas.
There is an optional walk to go to Pico da Cruz to enjoy the mixture of vegetation and panoramic view over the Paul Valey.
The tour continues to Ribeira Grande, Ponta do Sol and Fontainhas, returning to Porto Novo in the afternoon.

Lunch is taken at Ponta do Sol (drinks are not included).

Route: Ponta do Sol > Fontaínhas > Cruzinha > Chã de Igreja
Duration: approximately 5.5 hours

# 2:
Route: Chã de Igreja > Ribeira Grande > Boca de Ambas Ribeiras > Caibros
Duration: approximately 4.5 hours

# 3: 
Route: Caibros > Ribeirão > Chã de Pedras
Duration: approximately 5.0 hours

# 4: Chã de Pedras > Corda,  via Figueiral
Duration: approximately 4.5 hours

# 5: Ribeira das Patas (Círio) >  Bordeira de Norte >  Catano
Duration: approximately 5.0 hours

Price guide: €85 per person, based on 2-3, €49 per person, based on 4 people.

Price includes:
• Local guide (may be English speaking but not guaranteed)
• Lunch (this is sometimes a picnic)
• Transport from Pedracin Village to and from the start and finish point.

Please note that the transportation from the hotel to the start and finish points will be in open back pick up’s or mini vans (Toyota Coaster) with no guarantee of air-conditioning.
