The hotel entrance is right next door to the main shoe shop in town and it has some good shoes too!
The breakfast room is a lovely big room overlooking the dry, almost lunar landscape, with big picture windows. The location of this hotel is great if you want to be central. Its just a 5-minute walk to the stunning beach and pier. Bars and restaurants are dotted all around the town. Its great to be able to wander out of the hotel and not have to worry about haggling with the taxi driver after a couple of glasses of wine to get back to your hotel.
If you're happy to spend your day on the beach and want good nightlife on your doorstep then this hotel will be ok for you.
A final note of caution, when I visited the Pontao there was a construction project underway next door to the hotel, so it is worth checking with us prior to booking on the current state of play.
