If you know that come November you’ll be seriously craving some winter sun, this one’s for you.
Winter sun is a fantastic prospect for us Brits, especially when we can be certain that as soon as the clocks go back in October, we start to crave a good dose of vitamin D. However, with so many different winter sun destinations to choose from, it can be hard to sift through all the information to pick your perfect holiday. You’ll then need to find your ideal hotel, and then try and find a reasonable price!
What if we told you that the winter months in Cape Verde offer guaranteed sunshine with balmy temperatures averaging between 25 and 28°C, beautiful, sandy beaches and a tonne of eclectic culture?
Aside from the coastal beauty of the likes of Sal and Boa Vista, there’s varying culture to discover on each island – in fact, each island feels like an entirely new destination. When you compare Boa Vista, which boasts some of the most fantastic stretches of white sand, to Santo Antão, where craggy green mountainous peaks dominate the landscape, it doesn’t matter whether your family are split between beach lovers and hikers – you can enjoy a bit of both.
Our island hopping holidays are a great and easy way to achieve this – you can find out more online.

If you can think of nothing better than enjoying the facilities of a great hotel, whilst being close to a beautiful sandy beach with turquoise water, then here’s a couple of fantastic properties where you can do just that, with some generous accompanying early booking offers…
Our most popular hotel, and for good reason. Situated opposite the golden sands of Santa Maria Beach, Hotel Morabeza is a wonderful choice for both couples and families due to its fantastic variety of facilities and proximity to the shops and restaurants of the town.
A beautifully presented, boutique-style hotel, Dunas de Sal is perfectly suited to couples. Relax by the pool, enjoy tasty cuisine and pop just over the road to the sands of Santa Maria Beach.
São Vicente is an island well-known for its music scene, and wonderfully infectious culture. Enjoy the bars and cafés of Mindelo town, such as Casa Café Mindelo, where you can find live music most evenings. You’ve also got the white sands of Laginha Beach close by, so you can get that much-needed beach time in too.

A comfortable hotel located in the heart of Mindelo, the Oasis Porto Grande is a great base from which to enjoy all the town’s most prized characteristics. Spend your days by the pool or on the beach, and your evenings soaking up the infectious culture that makes Mindelo one-of-a-kind.
Just a short taxi ride from Mindelo, Foya Branca offers direct access to a fantastic, golden beach which is a great spot for water sport lovers. It’s a wonderful option for a holiday in Cape Verde, as you can soak up the peace and quiet of the coast, yet you’re still within easy access of the vibrant town.
