Senegal has remained something of an unknown quantity for British holidaymakers, though it has long been a favourite holiday destination for our European neighbours. With excellent accommodation, superb service and French-inspired cuisine, along with truly outstanding beaches and wildlife, it's time to enjoy Senegal's ever-shining sun, beautiful scenery, a relaxed pace of life and excellent hospitality.
We now feature three distinct areas of Senegal, each offering something completely different, all waiting to be explored. Although French-speaking, it's not difficult to find someone who speaks English, although a few French phrases may be useful!
Sitting beside the Atlantic Ocean at Africa’s most westerly point, Senegal is a breathtaking country that almost completely surrounds The Gambia. We offer holidays in beachfront Saly, close to Dakar in the north, as well as add-ons to a Gambia holiday near the Sine Saloum Delta, with its riverine landscapes (to the north of The Gambia) or in Casamance (to the south).
We have put together what we see as the definitive online guide for travel to Senegal containing all the information you might need for planning a trip to this beautiful West African country.
Choose from three hotels in the Sine Saloum Delta of North Senegal: Keur Saloum and Les Palétuviers Boutique Hotel in Toubacouta and nearby, the fabulous lodges at Fathala Wildlife Reserve. In 2017 we introduced two hotels in the Casamance region of South Senegal, Esperanto Lodge in Kafountine and La Paillote Village Hotel in Cap Skirring, which have received very positive feedback. From November 2018, our programme includes Saly and La Somone, offering new beachfront options including the luxurious Lamantin Beach Resort & Spa, an all-inclusive option at the Royal Horizon Baobab Hotel and a fabulous eco-lodge, Les Manguiers de Guéréo.
