NEW: The Cape Verde Experience 2013/14 Brochure

Independent tour operator, The Cape Verde Experience launches its November 2013 – October 2014 brochure this month. There are ten islands within the Cape Verde archipelago and the specialist can arrange single-island and twin-centre trips, as well as a selection of programmed and tailor-made island-hopping itineraries.

Inspiration for twin-centre holidays has been presented in the new brochure for the first time, but offers just a flavour of possible combinations. The twin-centre suggestions are themed ‘Cultural Capitals’, ‘Quality & Comfort’ and ‘Something Different’, which incorporates the two featured unique properties on Boa Vista (Spinguera Eco Lodge & Orquidea Guest House).

Four New Hotel Additions
The Cape Verde Experience has added four new hotels to its 2013/14 collection:

4* Salinas Sea Hotel, Sal
On the island of Sal and opening in summer 2013, The Cape Verde Experience has added the 4* all-inclusive Salinas Sea hotel to its programme. Located beside the beach and just 400m from the centre of Santa Maria, the hotel’s facilities include a swimming pool, children’s club, spa, gym and three restaurants.

3* Tropical Residence, Sal
The Cape Verde Experience is also pleased to offer a new self-catering option within its Sal portfolio – the Tropical Residence, a newly built property on the edge of Santa Maria and five minutes’ walk from the beach, which houses a choice of two or three bedroom apartments. A great option for those desiring greater independence and perfect for those wishing to cook or eat in the many restaurants in town.

3* Don Paco Hotel, São Vicente
The 3* Don Paco Hotel has been added to The Cape Verde Experience’s São Vicente offering and is the second hotel that the specialist will now offer in the cultural capital of the archipelago, Mindelo.
Don Paco Hotel is just a few steps from the central square and a short stroll to the bars and restaurants famed for their live music. Within a short walk, guests can also discover the waterfront complex of Pont d’Agua, local markets and the town beach.

The modern, boutique 3* Dunas de Sal hotel on the island of Sal is the fourth new hotel addition to The Cape Verde Experience 2013/14 brochure, however this hotel is returning to the programme rather than being a completely new feature. An ideal choice for couples, the hotel – reputedly housing one of the best restaurants on Sal – is again just a short stroll away from the beach and centre of Santa Maria. 

Cruise The Cape Verde Archipelago
New for this winter, The Cape Verde Experience will be offering luxurious cruises of the Cape Verde archipelago aboard the 54m, 25 cabin Sail Cruiser Panorama. Sailing on 1 and 8 November 2013, these seven night trips are operated by Variety Cruises and depart from Santiago, calling at the islands of Fogo, São Nicolau, Santo Antão, São Vicente and Maio. There is a variety of optional excursions available during the cruise allowing guests to experience the best of the archipelago both from the land and the sea.

Flights to Cape Verde
This winter (2013/14) there are weekly direct flights from the UK to the island of Sal and twice-weekly direct flights from the UK to the island of Boa Vista. London Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham are the key airports with the carrier being Thomson Airways; please enquire with The Cape Verde Experience for more information.

The Cape Verde Experience can also package customers’ holidays with scheduled TAP Air Portugal flights if desired. These however operate indirectly via Lisbon, but do offer the option of flying straight into the islands of São Vicente or Santiago. Internal flights within the Cape Verde archipelago are operated by TACV.

Early Booking Offers: Book by 31 July & save up to £170pp
This winter (2013/14) 7 night holidays with The Cape Verde Experience start from £719* per person. This price is based on two sharing a standard room with breakfast at the 2.5* Hotel Pontão on Sal and includes return flights, taxes, transfers and contact with an English-speaking representative within resort.
