Relax on Sal and then onto the diverse island of Santiago, exploring markets, trekking through the mountainous interior. On Fogo visit the active volcano and a lunar landscape, and sample the wine!
This seven-night island hop is a great taster for first-time visitors to the archipelago and includes some wonderful island tours on the islands of Sal, Santiago and Fogo.

Day 1 – Sal
Once you’ve arrived on Sal, our representative will give you all of your inter-island flight tickets and direct you to your hotel transfer. Then you’ll have the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the white sandy beaches, superb local restaurants and evening entertainment of Santa Maria.
Day 2 – Sal
Half-day tour of Sal, which will include visits to: Murdeira, Palmeira, Buracona, Espargos, Shark bay and the Pedra de Lume salt flats. You’ll have the opportunity to paddle or bathe in the salt lakes so make sure you take waterproof shoes, swimwear and a towel. You’ll return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free in Santa Maria.
Day 3 – Fly to Santiago
Our representative in Santiago will meet you at the airport and direct you to your hotel transfer. You’ll have the rest of the day to explore.
Day 4 – Santiago
Full-day tour of Santiago. Taking you up into the mountains offering breathtaking views along the way. Your tour includes visits to: Cidade Velha, Mercado Municipal da Praia and continuing inland, passing through Pedra Badejo, São Jorge dos Orgãos and Assomada, the second largest city on the Island. Your final stop is Tarrafal for lunch, plus you may have the opportunity to swim in this beautiful bay.
Day 5 – Fly to Fogo
Our representative will meet you for your panoramic transfer tour of this volcanic island, ending at your hotel in São Filipe. The rest of the day is free to explore - São Filipe is wonderful Portuguese squares, cobbled streets, sobrados and pastel-coloured houses.
Day 6 – Fogo
Full-day excursion to the volcanic crater at Chã das Caldeiras. Since 1785, all its eruptions have been inside the crater. This crater is such a highlight of Cape Verde and has very fertile land. Coffee is grown on the outside slopes whilst vines used to produce the famous Fogo wine are grown at the crater. The road to the crater is not for the fainthearted, with twisting roads and steep hairpin bends! Lunch in a local restaurant in Chã das Caldeiras.
Day 7 – Fly back to Sal
Fly back to Sal via Santiago. On arrival you’ll be transferred to your hotel for your last night, with the rest of the day free.
Day 8 – Departing Sal
Make the most of the sunshine before being transferred to Sal airport for your home flight.
