Travelling to Cape Verde on a direct flight from the UK

Fully Vaccinated Passengers

You must present proof that you have been  fully vaccinated when you check-in for your flight to Cape Verde.

You qualify as fully vaccinated if:

  • your final dose was administered at least 14 days and no more than 270 days before you travel, or
  • you have had a full course of the vaccine and a booster dose at least 14 days before you travel

Cape Verde will accept the UK's printed version of proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record. They will not accept digital proof. Your NHS appointment card is NOT accepted as proof of your vaccine status.

Prior to travel, you will need to complete and submit an International Travel Form on the Covid19.cv website

Adults & Children aged 12 and over - FULLY VACCINATED

  • You’ll need a valid COVID vaccination certificate showing full vaccination.

Unvaccinated Adults

  • You’ll need a COVID recovery certificate from the last 90 days or a COVID-19 RT PCR test taken 72 hours before departure or an antigen test (Ag-RDT) taken 48 hours before departure to enter Cape Verde. If you do not present a COVID-19 test taken in the required time before departure, you will not be allowed to board your flight.
  • You should not use the NHS testing service to get a test in order to facilitate your travel to another country. You should arrange to take a private test. We have negotiated discounts with a few test providers, please see the Covid-19 test section. Other providers can found here

Children under 12 Years of Age

  • Children under 12 do not need to present a COVID-19 test.
